What is the difference between nic salt and freebase e liquids?
Freebase e liquids are lighter e liquids in terms of strength of nicotine, and yet give more throat-hit. A nicotine strength of 3mg for instance is considered average, while a 6mg or 12mg is considered high strength. Whereas in case of nicotine salts, they are slightly different in their molecular composition than freebase, and a higher strength of say 20mg or 50mg appears to be average or standard strength. For direct to lung vaping, freebase e liquids are preferred, and for mouth to lung vaping nic salts are preferred.
What do e liquids contain?
A standard e liquid is usually composed of nicotine (freebase or nic salts), flavouring (natural, nature identical, or artificial), PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerine). VG and PG are also used in baby foods, bakery products etc. Use of Diacetyl in e liquids (leading to popcorn lung disease) is no longer permitted and none of the reputable e liquid and vape brands use it as an ingredient.
