Buy Original JUUL Pods and JUUL Devices from Nepal’s top Online Store in Kathmandu

Sometimes there is a shortage of supply of JUUL pods and devises from the origin country like USA, which cause temporary shortage in countries like Nepal and Bangladesh. ‘JUUL 2’ has had limited success so far, and it is the original JUUL 1 that is more popular in the market. Taking advantage of such shortages and the popularity of the brand, there are numerous factories in China that make fake or counterfeit/clone JUUL products. These are highly dangerous and can cause serious harm to one’s health. For the right vaping experience, one must only purchase from reliable and known retailers and suppliers such as Vape Stop, which guarantees originality of products and brands.

THE BELOW ARE SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is the JUUL controversy?

JUUL has had its share of major controversies. Perhaps it was too radical a change (transforming the entire cigarette industry) and too fast (the growth the brand saw was phenomenal). People generally do not like change, and JUUL was changing the landscape a lot, and too quickly. We had smokers who had been smoking for over 15 years and unable to quit smoking after repeated attempts, but with JUUL all of a sudden they are able to switch to something which was far less harmful in comparison (as per Public Health England). The downside was that since the product was so cool and compact (looked like a USB drive), it became popular among underage teens, who instead of sneaking and smoking cigarettes were now JUULing. Mother and teachers filed multiple law suits against the company, most of whom are now finally settled. The brand was accused of marketing to kids by making the brand ‘cool’. JUUL was also expanding rapidly, from trying to enter India (with Indian Tobacco Company or ITC as the big ‘bully’ tobacco company, and that too without a vaping product of its own), to launching in Isreal, Canada, UK, Italy, Austria, France, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines etc. As the company grew, its founders became distant from the realities of growing too fast in controversial markets. Had the company grown slowly, limited its marketing spend, and had a real long term vision, and had it not been sold to a big tobacco company, and things could have been way different.

Is JUUL still the most popular vape brand?

JUUL is a brand that was launched by James Monsees and Adam Bowen, both graduated of Stanford University in USA, and both smokers. At that time they could not find a viable alternative to conventional cigarettes, and hence they thought of creating JUUL, which was formed in 2017 (in 2007 their company was called Ploom, and in 2007 it was called Pax Labs). The valuation of JUUL from an all-time high of USD 38 Billion in 2018 (right before Altria – basically Phillip Morris in USA)acquired a 35% stake in JUUL Labs after paying a whopping USD 12.8 Billion, was slashed to USD 5 Billion (85% drop) by Altria itself in 2020, and currently Altria valuing the one and only ‘JUUL’ at just USD 714 Million (86% drop from 2020 valuation). JUUL even came close to filing for bankruptcy in November 2022 in spite of still being a preferred brand worldwide. As of March 2023, Altria has divested its stake in JUUL (which was valued at around USD 250 Million) and acquireda competitor brand ‘NJOY’ for USD 2.75 Billion. There are some conspiracy theories regarding the sudden fall of JUUL’s valuation. Some speculate that it is Altria’s strategy in near-about filing for bankruptcy, removing JUUL’s flavours from the market even before the regulation to do so, and reducing its valuation immensely, so that the brand comes less under limelight. If the growth appears nominal and the brand does not appear to be extra-rich, then it is less likely to attract a growing number of law suits and anti-JUUL regulations. But then why would Altria exit its stake in March 2023?! Another conspiracy theory is that since Altria is big tobacco, it is actually purposely trying to kill JUUL as a brand as it stood to genuinely pose a threat to the multi-billion-dollar tobacco industry. What is the exact truth? We do not know, but perhaps James Monsees and Adam Bowen can tell you if you are a close friend or family member?! Another reason for the stagnancy of JUUL’s popularity is the emergence of disposables. These use and throw devices are more easy to use than JUUL, and have no leak issue(which used to happen sometimes with JUUL pods especially while travelling in a flight).

What JUUL Pods flavours are available in the market?

The answer to this question depends on which country you are referring to. In USA which is the origin and the biggest market for JUUL, only two flavours are available in-stores and online, which are Virginia Tobacco and Menthol in 3% and 5% strength (along with the JUUL device of course). The other popular flavours like Mango (which was the most popular flavour when it was available as it was truly exceptional in taste), Cucumber, Fruit, Crème etc. are no longer available in USA. In Canada however, these flavours are still available, and so is the case in Russia. In UK too, fruity flavours are available for purchase online and in-stores although at less than 2% nicotine strength due to country regulations. In Nepal, JUUL is primarily being imported from USA, where only two flavours are sold.

Is JUUL officially present in Nepal?

JUUL is still a very popular brand in spite of all the controversies, valuation downfalls, law suits etc. In USA, JUUL currently has a 26% market share (which at some point used to be around 70%), then is Vuse, and number 3 is Njoy (with just 3% market share). In Nepal, JUUL is estimated to capture a 20% market share by sales revenue and is the highest selling vape brand in the country, followed by Elf Bar (7% market share) and IGET (6% market share). The brand has not officially launched in Nepal yet, but the law states that if a product is available in the free market anywhere, then one is allowed to trade/sell that brand anywhere else as long as the category is not illegal in that country.
